We need journalists to focus on how Republicans, actually anti not \u2018semi\u2019 democratic, are bringing democracy to its knees. Instead of practicing deficit journalism to tear down the committee, you yourself could highlight Bannon\u2019s precinct movement or facts that abound about those politicians running for office who believe in the Big Lie. It\u2019s \u2018pathetic\u2019, to use your word, that you feel there has to be an either\/or goal for this committee. Why don\u2019t you get busy doing real investigative journalism rather than using your powerful voice to tear down a committee devoted to accountability. You are caught in the past where journalists look for negatives to prove your astute analysis skills for fault finding. Just as you look to a committee to seek source reasons and solutions to Democracy\u2019s plight, so you, too, can be an influencer to reveal the frightening details of Republican strategy and why so many Americans are willing to lie.
