What if we&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">all generously extended this gracious<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">moment to our estrangements,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">our alienations, those we\u2019ve&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">dismissed? What if we stretch,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">reach to our friend we\u2019ve ghosted,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">family we shun? What if we<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">managed a radical one more<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">crack in the slammed door&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">on those&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">who betrayed us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why not one more gesture&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">with a tincture of courage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">a touch of compassion<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and humble uncertainty<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">to reach across the divide?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What if we jump&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">into the small-town truck&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">trapped in the frozen part&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">of our soul, hit the road,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">shift into a new gear,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">surrender ourselves&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">to at least one more<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">gracious wave&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">at the passerby<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">who once we held<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">close in our heart.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beginner\u2019s Mind: Why Not What IF Everyone waves in our small village as we pass each other by on the road.
